With 2018 right around the corner, Acura has been staying ahead of the game and releasing information for its 2018 lineup. On the list is the 2018 Acura MDX, which features a number of notable technology updates as well as new exterior color options and a brand-new trim level—the MDX Sport Hybrid. What’s New on the 2018 Acura MDX?
Although not completely redesigned for the 2018 model year, the Acura MDX does have a number of updates and refreshed elements to be aware of. The 2018 MDX comes with an improved dual-screen interface that includes a 7-inch touchscreen display with 30% faster response. The MDX now comes standard with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ support, allowing drivers to easily access features from their smartphones, as well as the AcuraWatch™ suite of safety and driver assist features. Shoppers can opt for two new color options—Basque Red (on base and Technology trims) or San Marino Red (on Advance trims).
2018 Acura MDX Performance Specs
Under the hood, the 2018 Acura MDX is equipped with a 3.5-liter direct-injected I-VTEC® V6 engine that is capable of producing 290 peak horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. Drivers can choose either front-wheel drive or Super Handling-All Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®).
MDX Sport Hybrid
New for 2018, the Acura MDX Sport Hybrid features a three-motor Sport Hybrid powertrain that is designed to offer the ideal blend of power and efficiency. The MDX Sport Hybrid joins the NSX supercar and RLX Sport Hybrid, which are both also equipped with this innovative powertrain.
