Considered a cut above the average used model, an Acura Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle must undergo a rigorous process before earning the stamp of approval from one of the automotive industry’s most trusted names. Once certified, each Acura Certified Pre-Owned vehicle offers a variety of benefits and advantages that combine to create a compelling ownership experience.
An Elevated Pre-Owned Experience
The first level of certification for Acura Certified Vehicles is known as Precision Used. This level of certification extends back a full 10 model years in order to provide an enhanced ownership experience by providing both peace of mind and protection.
Delivering even greater confidence, the second tier is known as Precision Certified. Precision Certified vehicles are required to be newer, undergo a more rigorous inspection process, and provide an even more comprehensive collection of ownership benefits. The Acura Certification Process
In order to even be considered for the Acura Precision Certified program, the vehicle in question must be six years old or newer, have less than 80,000 miles on the odometer, and have a clean unbranded title. And that’s just the beginning.
From there, the vehicle will be required to pass a stringent 182-point inspection to be performed only by Acura-Certified technicians. Following an industry-exclusive digital checklist, the technician will carefully examine components ranging from the engine valvetrain to the brake lights.
To ensure every part meets the demanding specifications set by Acura, any component which falls short will be swapped with an Acura-Certified replacement prior to earning the status of an Acura Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. Acura technicians will also verify all placements of the Vehicle Identification Number match and are valid. Finally, a meticulous appearance inspection scrutinizes fit and finish inside-and-out to make sure it meets the standards of the Acura name.
Vehicles eligible for the Acura Precision Used program must be 10 years old or newer and pass an extensive 112-point inspection performed by factory-certified Acura technicians.

Beginning on the date of vehicle delivery. The 7-day exchange policy allows the client to exchange the vehicle purchased for another Precision Certified vehicle or Precision Used vehicle in the dealer’s inventory. The returned vehicle must be in the same condition as when it left the dealership and may have no more than 300 miles over the mileage shown as of the date of purchase.
SiriusXM services require a subscription after any trial period. If you decide to continue your SiriusXM service at the end of your trial subscription, the plan you choose will automatically renew and bill at then-current rates until you call SiriusXM at 1-866-635-2349 to cancel.
