About the Acura RDX

As the smallest member of the Acura SUV lineup, the RDX delivers potent performance, a luxurious and spacious cabin, and an array of premium technology and groundbreaking safety features. When designing the RDX, Acura engineers incorporated the foundations of the Acura Precision Concept, adapting its low and wide stance, sleek profile, and wheels-out proportions to a five-passenger SUV. What’s New for 2025

Shoppers will be thrilled to discover the lengthy list of updates to the popular Acura RDX for the 2025 model year. The RDX benefits from visual updates including a new front grille, new wheel designs, new exterior color options, and available body-color lower exterior trim accents. Shifting focus to the interior, the RDX also gains a redesigned center console and a relocated wireless charging pad. There’s also been a software update that adds a new widescreen function for the Apple CarPlay display. Last but not least, A-Spec Advance and Advance trim levels now come standard with full leather upholstery.

Styling & Performance

Sporting an evocative exterior design, the RDX showcases Acura’s signature Diamond Pentagon Grille flanked by Jewel Eye™ headlights – now boasting seven LED light elements. Wide air intakes include NSX-inspired air curtains which channel air efficiently around the front wheels and down the body side. Prominent hood bulges and sharp character lines accentuate the front and rear fenders, giving the RDX an unmistakable appearance.

Potent performance in the RDX comes in the form of a standard 2.0-liter 16-valve DOHC turbocharged engine featuring direct injection and i-VTEC® valvetrain. A total of 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque are managed by a 10-speed automatic transmission (10AT). The introduction of the third generation also marks the return of torque-vectoring Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) to RDX, in its most powerful and sophisticated form ever. Up to 70% of torque can be distributed to the rear wheels while up to 100% of that torque can be distributed to either the right-rear or left-rear wheel, creating unrivaled control and agility.

Advanced Technology

Designed from a clean sheet, the True Touchpad Interface™ found on the RDX offers a system-level approach to an in-car user interface that is optimized for the driver and the driving experience. This system features a 10.2-inch full-HD center display mounted high atop the center console, a center console-mounted touchpad, and an Android-based operating system. Simply put, a touch on any location of the touchpad corresponds directly with that same location on the display. Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa integration are included as standard on the RDX as well. Another exciting innovation is a natural language voice recognition system for more intuitive voice control of the available embedded Acura Navigation System. An available 10.5-inch full-color interactive Head-Up Display puts customizable information displays such as audio, phone, AcuraWatch alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, and more directly in the driver’s line of sight.
