What’s New for 2023
Although there are no major changes to the Acura TLX for the 2023 model year, there are some slight changes to report. Every TLX model now comes standard with two years of complimentary scheduled maintenance services to bolster its already outstanding value. Additionally, all TLX models also now include three years of complimentary access to AcuraLink connected services. Stunning Design
With its legendary reputation to precede it, the striking exterior appearance of the Acura TLX emphasizes both agile handling and potent performance. In comparison to the previous generation, the latest model features a 3.7-inch longer wheelbase, a 2.2-inch wider body with wider front and rear tracks (+1.2 inches and +1.6 inches, respectively), and a lower roofline. Other eye-catching aspects of the exterior include Jewel Eye® LED headlights with four LED elements and bright-white “Chicane” LED daytime running lights. The popular A-Spec sport package is also available, offering drivers an assortment of unique sport appearance enhancements inside and out. For a true race-inspired look, the TLX Type S models include a rear decklid spoiler, aggressive front splitter, rear diffuser, and large quad exhaust outlets.
Thrilling Performance
Drivers can choose between two potent turbocharged engines on the Acura TLX. Standard power comes in the form of a 2.0-liter DOHC turbocharged engine with VTEC, paired with a responsive 10-speed automatic transmission with Sequential SportShift. Featuring a total of 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, this engine represents a sizable gain over the prior-gen naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder. Powering the race-inspired TLX Type S is a muscular 3.0-liter, 24-valve, DOHC direct-injected and turbocharged V6 that produces a balanced 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. The body and chassis design has resulted in a 50 percent increase in global torsional stiffness. Thanks to clever engineering cues taken from the NSX supercar, the TLX also receives a highly advanced electric-servo brake system for maximum stopping power.
Tech-Focused Interior
Designed with the concept of “Dual Personal Cockpit” in mind, the cabin of the Acura TLX places emphasis on both the driver and front passenger. Examples of premium materials available inside the cabin include real aluminum, open-pore wood, and full-grain Milano leather. In terms of infotainment, the TLX is offered with an available 10.2-inch HD display and a console-mounted touchpad with “Absolute Position” mapping. Drivers can also access the latest generation of AcuraLink™ with in-vehicle 4GLTE Wi-Fi to stay connected throughout their journey.
